The need to protect these basic human rights brings us to an underrstanding of common sense vs. projections of greed. When considering your position on the is debate, simply consider that home birth has happened since the beginning of human kind. Hospital birth is really something that has only begun in the last century. Since its inception, it has had huge success in resolving extremely complicated situations which may, in other times, have led to the deatrh of the baby, and/or of the mother. yet these cases are by far a minority. The majority of birthes have, and always will be challenging but healthy births; it is of the most sacred, intense, scary and beautiful moments in human life, and that is what it should be. The human need to reduce the intensity of this event by opting for "planned" births through surgery, only leads us to a place of further disconnectedness to the natural ecosystem within which we live.
I sincerely hope that common sense prevails here, and that people should be able to choose how to approach what will be one of the great turning points of life. Life is scary, life is real, life is beautiful, and should be lived as that. We must not be afraid to face life as it is. Good luck!
